Peacham Volunteer Fire Department in action
Peacham Engine 1 is a 2003 Metalfab custom pumper on an International 7400 chassis. The truck has a 1250 GPM front-mount pump and 1250 gallon water tank, multiple attack lines and supply line. Engine 1 is used for fire attack, laddering and vehicle extrication.
Peacham Tanker 1 is a 2019 Toyne custom tanker/pumper on a Kenworth T470 chassis. This truck has a 1000 GPM front-mount pump with a 2500 gallon tank. This truck is used for transporting water to the fire scene, drafting, and laddering. It can also be used as a second fire attack or relay pumper if needed.
Peacham Rescue 1 is a 2023 Ram 5500 fitted with a 1996 SVI light-rescue body. The vehicle is used to provide first response emergency medical care and basic life support (BLS). It is equipped much like an ambulance but it does not transport patients. It is also used for firefighter rehabilitation, scene lighting, ice and water rescue, rope rescue, and traffic control. It has 4 wheel drive for driving in difficult terrain. This is the newest truck in the PVFD fleet. It went into service in February 2024. Photos coming soon!
Peacham Forestry 1 is a 1976 Dodge military truck used for grass, brush and wildland fires. It contains forestry hose, a portable pump, chain saw and hand tools for fighting fire. It has a 200 gallon water tank and 4 wheel drive for off road work.
Peacham Engine 2 is an antique 1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A which is no longer in active service. Read more about this vehicle here.
